The Department of the Navy’s Office of Naval Research (ONR) provides the critical science and technology necessary to accelerate the Navy and Marine Corps’ technological dominance. Led by the Chief of Naval Research, ONR’s highly regarded scientists and engineers lead research that enables warfighter lethality and readiness—working with nearly 1,000 industry partners, over 600 institutions of higher learning and nonprofits, across 50 states and 69 countries. ONR’s affiliate commands include ONR Global and the Naval Research Laboratory.
